The UEFA Champions League draw: All you need to know!

The UEFA Champions League group stage draw holds today. Here's all you need to know!

Manchester City are the reigning Champions of Europe, an astounding 1-0 victory against Inter Milan in June saw them achieve the feat - Their first ever UCL title.

This season's UCL group stage draw will not be any different from the previous ones. 32 European teams, 26 originally qualified by virtue of finishing in either the top four, top three, top two or even just be emerging as the league winner of their respective leagues. Then the remaining six qualify through play-offs.

The 32 teams are shared into four seeding pots. Pot 1 will consist of the holders, the UEFA Europa League winners and six domestic champions. Pots 2 to 4 will be determined by the club coefficient rankings.

No team can play a side from their own association. Pairings and any other restrictions will be announced ahead of the draw.
